As an organization, we believe in and encourage the expansion of inclusion and social opportunities for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Below you will find other community resources that provide services in this space!

Community Organizations

Joshusa’s Stage– Joshua’s Stage is the premiere enrichment program for individuals with a wide range of special needs featuring after-school programs, camps, workshops, birthday parties, individual enrichment programs, and performances in theater arts, improv, music, dance, arts and crafts, photography, and create-a-story.

Down Syndrome Association of Central Texas– To provide education, support, and resources to individuals with Down syndrome, their families, professionals, and the community while building public awareness and acceptance of the abilities of individuals with Down syndrome.

Special Olympics Texas– Making the transition from a school-based to an adult Special Olympics Texas team.

Danny G. McBeth Recreation Center– provides social opportunities through quality programs that challenge, support and teach leisure skills for the citizens of Austin with differing abilities. The center offers year-round programs for youth, teens, and adults.

The Arc Austin– a nonprofit organization, is committed to empowering Central Texans with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families through compassionate case management and innovative programs.

Sage Studio– Non-profit studio and gallery space in east Austin that provides artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities the materials, space, and support to produce, exhibit, and sell their artwork.

Imagine Art– A Christian ministry, 501c3 nonprofit, established in 1996. The Imagine Art community positions artists with disabilities to be creative placemakers and leaders. 

Children’s Association for Maximum Potential (Camp C.A.M.P.)– Year-round, CAMP provides recreational opportunities for individuals with medical conditions or disabilities as well as their siblings; respite for family members; leadership development for high-school students/young adults; and hands-on educational experiences for healthcare professionals.
